I still love the Muppets’ version, too. However, there’s a play that’s been out for several years now called The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge, by Mark Brown (not Marc Brown – there’s a difference 🙂 ) where he takes the ghosts to trial for a whole list of crimes, including breaking and entering, and emotional distress. But it is a comedy, and it’s hilarious.

A Christmas Carol is one of my favourites – have seen all the versions but Alistair Sim is my favourite Scrooge. Thanks for the detailed backstory – really makes themovie more precious.
