I was mentally checking my novel’s plot against this the whole time. Think I’m doing good, but there’s always room for improvement. Don’t really need to up the stakes (since it’s clear the whole “kingdom” is at stake), but after reading this, I will definitely be adding a few scenes to show the consequences of those stakes if the heroes fail.
